key west itinerary ??'s

Hello! Can anyone tell me if it is feasible to walk to Smather's b each from Mallory Square? We will be in Key West from approx. 7a-3p, so are planning on taking a snorkeling trip, and then walking down Duvall St to do some shopping on our way to the Southernmost Point and then Smather's Beach. Any feedback on if this is feasible from those who have been there? Thanks!

I have been to Key West on numerous occassions and Smather's Beach is actually much closer to the airport than it is to Mallory Square. It is about 4 miles from the square to Smathers. You might want to opt for one of the beaches closer to the center of town if you want to walk.
