Can you give anymore details about the trip hanging out in St. Maartin. Local crab cakes along with some shopping is what we are looking for. How hard is it to find your way around the island and about how much is a rental car? If we do the exclusive through the ship it sounds like we will be stuck on the beach all day and no time to shop. I'll pull out my cruise info from about 9 years ago...and try to give you more details about St. Maarten. Give me a day or so, and I'll answer you. You will LOVE St. Maarten!

An air-conditioned car is about $75 and very easy to rent from the agencies next to the clean port. It took us about 2 hours to drive around the entire island, stopping for awhile at the best beach of the island - Orient beach (make sure and find the AWESOME lobster pit/bar/restaurant hidden in the palm trees. It is behind the hundreds of BLUE umbrellas (can't miss them). Marigot has many great restaurants, shopping, and TRAFFIC!! Driving on the island was VERY EASY!! Good luck!!
