We're total snorkel freaks, so that's what we always book. We've been to Tortola twice, both times we booked a snorkel trip, one on a catamaran and one on a dive boat. The first one went to Norman Island, which was great, even included a bat cave to snorkel through. The second one was beautiful as well, they went to a place close to Norman (something pillars) that was neat. St. Thomas we either book a catamaran and go to Buck Island or catch the ferry over to St. Johns and snorkel Trunk Bay. Trunk Bay is a beach snorkel, there is a self-guided tour, the water is crystal clear and warm, they have lockers, a couple of shops (not cheap), a snack bar, and fresh water showers. Since we love sailing, the catamaran's have been wonderful as well. St. Thomas is the place for shopping if you're interested in jewelry. Stirrup Cay is their private island, so the ship's crew will be hosting the food. Water sports will be the key there. We've never been to Cayo Levantado. Since y'all are vegetarians, I can't suggest seafood-but man is it great. If you were going to Trinidad they have what they call Doubles, it's made out of chic peas with spices on a tortilla type bread, then the put on bajan pepper sauce-which is wonderful. There is always fresh tropical fruit. Have a wonderful trip!!
