I had a really nice cab driver who took us to Dunn's River Falls.
I only had traveler's cheques, and the falls only take cash - the driver told us that, but I told him that I would have to cash my cheques somewhere 1st.
The cab fare was 10.00 each for my wife and I and he actually lent us the 30.00 US (2X15.00) for us to get in.
After 1 hour he picked us up exactly on time - so I gave him a 50.00 traveler's cheque, and an extra tip from a second cheque that I was able to cash by one of the merchants near the exit!
