I've contacted Trevor (after reading several postings recommending him)and received the following quote from him:$65/adult $40/child under 11, for Dunn's River Falls, Prospect Plantation, drive through Fern Gully and into the hills for a panoramic view of the town, and Margarita Ville (for beach and shopping), plus a visit to a school. Is this price reasonable? Friends suggest getting a local taxi when we arrive to do the tour. What would you recommend?
I did a tour back in Ocho Rios earlier on this year but the guy we booked with was Peat Taylor. This guy is probably Jamaica's top SPAMmer. Boy he has posted his ads all over this forum again and again despite that fact that ads are not permitted here. I guess his business isn't running that well. Thanks, Jim for the warning. So Peat Taylor and Trevor Hudlin are the same person? What do you suggest we do for a tour? Is it a good idea just to grab a local taxi once we're there?
If you want to do Dunn's River Falls, a local taxi is probably the cheapest from Ochos rios. The entrance to the falls is about $15 if I remember, and you probably can do a taxi ride fairly cheap. Just be cautious of them. They will often ask you for a round trip fare and not come back to pick you up for the return. If they ask for round trip, don't pay more than half upon arrival so they have incentive to come back for you (there are taxi's all the time at the falls anyway). You can work out taxi costs for yourself. Just be careful.

Yes indeed, Peat Taylor has apparently decided to ignore the numerous warnings we have given him about advertising. And so it is.....we will now have great fun in "adjusting" any future posts he makes.
I'm confused, are Peat Taylor and Trevor Hudlin the same guy as mentioned here? I thought that Trevor Hudlin came highly recommended by Tom Ogg (see his port review @ portreviews.com)!
Also is there anything that I should know about Phil Lafayette? I have a tour booked with him this summer.
