Does anyone here have any information about this beach? I read a very short blurb in a travel book that James Bond Beach is really nice. It didn't say how far it was from Ocho Rios, but on the little map, it didn't look too far. Would it be worth going there with two kids, 11 and 13? Thanks in advance for any input!

Years ago, we did a party boat tour that showed us the beach. I'm not sure if you can go on the beach, because I think it was private. I just googled it, it doesn't say it is private, so maybe you can. If you go there, please stay in a group. Jamaica is one island I don't recommend doing things on your own.

Thanks for the reply! I did a search on it as well, but could only find what looked like plans to build a small community of homes there. It would be interesting to see, but I suppose we'll end up doing something else.

If you've not done Dunn's River Falls, you need to go. The children will love it. You can climb the falls or climb beside the falls. The water is icy cold, but feels great in the Jamaican heat. The guides will lead you up, take you camera and take pictures of you. Make sure you have water shoes, which you can buy at Wal-Mart or your local dive shop. It's a beautiful setting, and a lot of fun!

On another thread I did an in-depth review of tubing on the White River--it was in the past two weeks, either here or under the Royal Caribbean section. It was lots of fun. We liked it better than the falls (no merchants, no crowds).
