Hi TedB! This info may be a little late for you, but we did the Segways in St. Maarten and had a blast. We went on the first excursion of the morning and there weren't a lot of tourists yet so we had the road pretty much to ourselves. Our adult children were with us and they had so much fun. Just wanted to add my two cents!

After the Segways we took a tour of the island from a local vendor. It is an interesting island with both the Dutch and French culture.

We like both St. Thomas and St. Maarten. . . . We personally did not like Belize, but there are dozens of people on this board who think we're nuts.I guess what I'm saying is that you shoud judge each port on its own for its own merits and for how much *you* enjoy it, not from what others say.

I did a snorkel excursion on St. Thomas last year (through Carnival) and loved it. The area was beautiful, uncrowded, and the guy who was our snorkel "instructor" was kind and patient with everyone, including this one person who is not wild about going in water that is too deep (Moi!).
