I noticed in reading about this excursion that there is no mention of lunch or snacks offered. This is a 5 hour excursion. Could anyone who has been on this excursion remember if this was included in the trip or perhaps a restaurant on site to buy lunch. Thanks!

we didnt do the excursion but did it on our own. they have places there to get food but remember you are not in kansas anymore. I never eat anything that is not prepackaged or drink anything that has not been bottled in america while visiting other countries, while on a tour like that. They do not have the health ratings we have. Others may have different views but thats how I feel. Eat well before leaving the boat. Also you can easily get bottled water or soft drink at the tour site.

macmom, I'm in full agreement with you. Unless the establishment is recommended by the cruise line, avoid it like the plaque(no pun intended). Drink only bottled water and/or soda/beer. No ice.

My husband was in Mexico City 2 weeks ago and they put ice in his beer. He called me saying, "who puts ice in beer?" He lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks being sick.

Double check with the cruiseline to make sure there isn't a stop somewhere for lunch. You can also bring some sandwich ziploc bags from home, grab some food before you leave the ship and take it with you to snack on. We've done that before.

If you're going to Mexico, you can't be too careful with what you eat.

The excursion we took was half day Tulum/half day Xel-ha. The ship provided us with boxed lunches at Xel-ha. This was an all day tour, however. Don't know whether they will do the same on yours.

I don't remember lunch being included. If it is it will be in the tour's description.
