Chocolate in Puerto Rico

I found the most beautiful chocolates in Puerto Rico during my Eastern Caribbean cruise. RCL recommended a chocolate shop at one of the other ports. People were standing in line there but I was not impressed and glad I spent my chocolate money in PR. The shop was being redecorated, the owner was very nice, his chocolates were art and tasted divine! He told me he was struggling to get on the cruise directors lists of recommended shopping, so I hope that he is doing well. His address is San Justo Street 202A, PMB 204, Old San Juan, PR. I did not know there was any chocolate shop of that kind here on PR.

I agree! It's fantastic. We used to stop by little huts set up by the roadside to buy the dulce de coco, plus the best pineapple in the world. Yum!

Where bouts it that in relation to where the ship docks?

It looks to be a few hundred yards up the hill from the dock area. San Justo Street runs perpendicular to the harbor.

WOW what a place !!!! I just had my first cruise and found this realy beautiful shop in the old san juan CORNE PORT-ROYAL!. Do they have great chocolates . Never found them before in the states . People you have to go there . The choice is nothing less than HUGE !! more than 90 different chocolates and all are YUMMY FOR THE TUMMY
I made up my mind and I am ordering them now via internet

Frankly I think Corne Port Royal is overrated. I think the best chocolates I've had in a long time are made right here in the mainland U.S. in Wilmington, NC. South'n France is the name.

Have you ever taste "lechon asado" is roasted pig on barbecue well if you ever want to taste something good but high on calories you have to taste "Cuerito" next time you are on the island during christmas just ask someone where to get it you will not be desapointed...
