Calica - what the heck is there to do?
 

I'm a veteran cruiser but never been to this port of call. Would love to get some feedback on the excursions if anyone has been there. Thanks!

If you like ruins, Tulum is great! If you like snorkeling Xcaret or Xel-ha is great! Shopping, Playa del Carmen is your best bet.

Take the shuttle to Cancun!

It totally depends on what you like to do.

I just returned from there last week. My family and I took a taxi to Xel-ha and had an absolutely wonderful time. The water there was gorgeous and it was worth every penny that we spent. I would really love to go back there again just to spend more time there.

I have heard that Xcaret is similar and is closer to the pier, but I can't make any promises.

YOu will love Xcaret, it is a beautiful place, lots to see, snorkel in caves...I would do this again if I go there

Xcaret is 'right there', as in mere minutes from the pier. You can see parts of it from the ship at dock.
