we are going to ocho rio in January and I was looking at a river tubing excursions. has anyone done this? I am not sure I want to go to the Falls because I think it will be really crowded...any thoughts?
I wouldn't think the Falls would be very crowded in January; however I wasn't all that impressed with the Falls--the water felt good because it was brutally hot and humid; but the gauntlet of vendors you have to endure to get out of there really ruined it. I very much wish I had gone tubing instead.
What we did enjoy VERY much was the Coyaba River Gardens; there was a heavenly breeze up on the hillside and it was just a beautiful and peaceful setting.
We did the falls and a snorkeling trip (not worth the money) and Fern Valley (very nice) and a tour by boat (very nice), but all the excursions I've taken were through the ships. I've read good reports on the tubing excursions, though.
Hi, we did Ocho Rios..... White River tubing. It was really fun. The ride there is an experience in itself. My two daughters at the time had no problem, they took good care of our little one who was 7 at the time. I have pics just shoot me an email firstname.lastname@example.org.
