Let's see...cost of water shoes = $8.00 ....cost of getting stitches and emergency room treatment plus follow up = $800.00 We always wear water shoes. And, you can always get some that match your swimwear!
Have fun everyone!

NECESSARY to worry water shoes, no. Foolish not to wear them, YES.

Wearing them years ago would have saved me a lot of grief and inconvenience. Now I just walk off the ship wearing them (mine have nice soles) and I am set for the day. I can walk over hot sand, stones, glass and can go from beach to shops with the same light, comfortable footwear.

I think I've worn mine out and am looking for a new pair. I don't leave home without them.

Call me a rebel, but growing up on Cape Cod, our shoes came off on the last day of school and we grudginly put them on for church and back-to-school.
I'm just not on vacation unless I'm barefoot.
By the end of summer I can run across a crushed shell driveway and not miss a beat.
I do wear my flip flops when I must!

Crocs work better than any of the water shoes, don't fall apart after 6 months & give more protection. And they float.
