Free beer in Cozumel?
 

Four of us got in a cab and asked the driver to take us in to San Miguel. He asked me if I liked beer. My mistake was saying yes. I will drop you off at a place that gives free beer.
That place was a jewelry store where we were whisked into a back room, had a beer stuffed in one hand and rings jammed on our fingers on the other hand.
Lesson learned...There are no free beers:)

Beware in Bangkok Thailand they like to do something similar too. Not the free beer trick, but when hiring a local "Tuk Tuk" to take you somewhere, they will try dropping you off first at a jewelry store. You have to get firm with them to take you where you hired them to take you in the first place!
