Punta Sur in Cozumel
 

Has anyone been to Punta Sur in Cozumel? We have always gone to Chanacanob, but we may want to do something different. Any suggestions?

Never been there. I use this site to get all the Cozumel info.

If I'm not mistaken it's on the south side of the island. I don't think it's much of a swimming beach. One time we wanted to do something different and rented a scooter, that was fun. We've also gone to the Money Bar (Dzul-ha), which is a nice place. Paradise Beach is nice and so is Nachi CoCom, you have to make reservations for Nachi CoCom, though.

I haven't been to Punta Sur, but I have been to Paradise Beach, like Penny. That's a clean beach, and no entry fee, as the impression is that you'll spend money while you're there. Last time I was there, it was $2 for beach chair rentals, and for $12, I think you got use of the water equipment, including their aqua park and snorkel equipment. When I say aqua park, those are inflatables that they put in the water, such as a climbing iceberg, and a slide. There is a restaurant on the premises as well, so you can have lunch there, as well as get drinks.
