Grand Cayman

The most recent reviews from travelers on the Freedom of the Seas mentioned that they haven't stopped at Grand Cayman due to winds? I'm wondering if this is a common occurence. That is one of our stops on our trip and I'm hoping to spend the day there. Any info would help.

As Cruise Fanatic noted, making the stop outweighs not making it. With that said, it is something that can happen due to safety concerns with tendering in windy sea conditions. I guess you could say it is "common", but not necessarily something that happens all the time. It happened with my last scheduled call. I've often wondered why they don't build a super long pier there.

Boy, I didn't need this post. We will be in Cayman next Thursday, this is the first that I heard of about not being able to anchor. I will have a positive attitude and know that we will see Georgetown next week. I will cross my fingers just in case.

High winds can be a problem docking at any port, not just tendering. put your worries aside, you will have so much fun you will need to search for something to worry about.
