On a cruise two years ago, someone from this chat site suggested we purchase some Cherry Marnier while visiting St. Maarten. What a great tip! It was absolutely terrific. Unfortunately you can't purchase it in the US. Well, we're headed to Grand Cayman next week and I'd love to know if anyone can tell me whether you can purchase it there. Thanks for your response.

The GRand Marnier website says it's available in the Virgin Islands and the CAymans!

Thanks Marsha...you just made our day. Salut to you as well!

TedB., you've made me start drooling http://bestsmileys.com/lol/21.gif

If you like liqueurs, you've got to try some of this. Best tip I received prior to taking last cruise. Wish they sold it in the states...now I'm drooling as well!

I love Grand Marnier, so I'm sure Cherry would be even better. I'll have to try it. We're sailing in October, so I'll be on the look out for it.

How is it served? Straight up, rocks, or with something? An ex-bartender that wants to know. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

I, personally, would like it straight up. http://bestsmileys.com/thumbs/7.gif

Thanks to all of you for responding. Just got back from our trip last night and just loved Grand Cayman. Definately would recommend it. Diving and snorkeling really great. As for the Cherry Marnier...many liquor stores carried it although had to visit 2-3 before we found it. Brought 4 bottles home and will have to make them last. The flavor is just incredible so I recommend straight up in a snifter or on the rocks if that's your preference. Also poured it over some vanilla ice cream and can't tell you how good that was. Shame they don't sell it in the states but then again maybe it wouldn't be so special if they did. Anyway, thanks again for your posts and enjoy!

Welcome back TedB http://bestsmileys.com/waving/7.gif I know you'd much rather be on board, but this work thing seems to get in the way. When you open your last bottle, you better have your next cruise booked http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif We did some great snorkeling right near where the tenders dock. There a lot of wrecks around. Hope you'll visit our board. It makes it a little more bearable until your next cruise. Best wishes and enjoy a snifter for me!
