excursions in Bermuda

Can't wait to take the Dawn to Bermuda. Can anyone suggest some good family friendly excursions they took (we have an 8 yr old boy)? Is it better to make arrangements privately or from the ship. I am not the greatest underwater swimmer and am a little leary of the helmet dive. Can we purchase a 3 day pass for the ferry / bus from Kings Wharf? How far can we go with it?

Hi jerzycruiser, I moved your post to the Caribbean Port Chat section because it wasn't about the ship. Bermuda is a very easy island to get around, their bus system is great. The locals are extremely helpful and friendly. It's been a long time since I've been there and only remember Horseshoe Beach, it was absolutely beautiful, pink sand, gorgeous water. You can get a 3 day bus pass reasonably, hop on and off wherever you choose. If you'll use your "find" feature in the upper left hand corner and type in Bermuda, it will pull up all the posts made about that port of call. There may be something that interests you. Best wishes!
