I am just wondering what we can expect at each port and if anyone has any suggestions of what excursions to do at each one? What ports are better for sitting at the beach or going shopping.

There are 3 couples going all in their early 20's. We are adventurous and are just looking for a good time at each port.

We are going May 18, 2009.
The Ports are:
Grand Turk
Half Moon Cay

We have seen the waterpark at Nassau and would love to go but we've heard that there is a lot to do at Nassau and we aren't sure if we should spend the whole day just at the park...

Lots of questions. We will take any advice. For the majority it's our first time!

Welcome to cruise-chat.

One answer is simple - Half Moon Cay is nothing but a beach and water sports day since it is a small private island. It is really a Holland America property but since Carnival owns Holland America they have usage rights.

Which cruise will you be taking?

Hi JBeard, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Nassau-Atlantis then go to Cabbage Beach next door. Grand Turk-snorkeling. Half Moon Cay-beach day w/snorkeling. If you'll use the "find" feature in the upper left hand corner, and type in your ports, it will pull up all the posts made. You might find something that sounds interesting, as well. Best wishes for a fantastic cruise, and once again, welcome aboard!

Is there a map for Atlantis Aquaventure? That shows where each slide is and the basic layout where everything is?

Cabbage Beach is adjacent to the Atlantis. You walk out the back door and a little to the right (maybe 10 yards) and there's Cabbage Beach. This might help. I think there's a toll free number, too. It is an awesome resort.
