Cartagena excursions

Hi everyone it's cruising time--soon! Going on a 10-day Panama Canal cruise on the Island Princess beginning April 9, 2010. This is our sixth cruise, but the first time with Princess. We've been to Eastern and Western Caribbean and Alaska, but can't figure out what to do when we stop at Cartagena. We'll be in port for six hours. We're in our mid-forties and like adventurous activities. We checked Princesses shore excursions, but can't really find anything. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for Cartagena? Also has anyone done the zip line tour in Costa Rica and Jamaica, and if so, which one is better? Happy Cruising.

We've been to Cartagena twice; first time we took the "Best of ..." tour and the second time, the "Old Town Walking Tour." We enjoyed both very much, but they are definitely not "adventurous." And I see what you mean: I've looked through the offerings and there isn't realy very much. You may have to do an internet search to find something more to your liking.

Have a wonderful cruise. We've been on Island Princess twice and love it.

We tried the canoe trip, was OK and we got to see the city, even stopped off to shop. Had an armed guard as well as a tour guide the whole time
