St Maarten-Pinel Island

We are going to St Maarten in May. Has anyone been to Pinel Island? Did you book through the cruise ship or have anyone done it on their own? I have done lots in St Maarten but never Pinel Island. Anyone have any reviews?

Hi sue7045, we just returned from St. Maarten. We didn't go to Pinel Island, but did take the Tiki Hut snorkel through the ship. It was great! They had a floating dock with a bar, lounge chairs, and a pool (if you haven't snorkeled before). They had good equipment for rental and there was plenty to see. The best thing was you could stay as long as you liked. When you were ready to leave, they'd take you to town or back to the ship at no extra charge. The operators were great!

Thanks penny3333. I to did the Tiki Hut touron our last cruise. But we booked it on our own through the internet I found it a little cheaper. I thought it was one of the best relaxing tours we had taken. I would recommend it highly. I did find that the snorkeling was not the best, but it wasn't the worst.

are there any massages available on any of the beaches here/? Like in cozumel?

The RCI beach tours to Orient Beach on St. Martin list massages as being available (but not included in the tour price).
