I am cruising with my husband and two teenage nieces in April to Nassau and wondered if there are any excursions such as taking a trolley around town etc. We do not want to do Atlantis but would really like to see the island. Any suggestions?

We took a horse and buggy around town. It was fun. We did not see the whole island, but enough for us. We enjoyed shopping in the straw market and bought several purses/t-shirts.

You might want to consider an excursion that is using Segways! Great way to get around and your teenage nieces would probably enjoy them as well.
I did not do this excursion but had friends that did and loved it. It included old and young and everyone enjoyed the tour as well as the segways.

If you click here you'll find lots of different ideas. It looks like the carriage tour is about 10 dollars per person for 20 minutes with a max of 3 people. The water taxi to paradise island is 6 dollars..a little more reasonable than the ship's excursion!
