Aventura Mall, fort lauderdale

Hi guys, we intend visting this shopping centre while waitiing for our flight from Miami, so we will be off the ship quite early, anyone know how far away this place is, or is there somewhere we could leave our luggage? do we take a taxi or a bus?

Aventura Mall is half way between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, about 20 miles. It is probably a 25 minute drive from Miami.

Thanks Sandy, do you think we could get a bus there? Might be less expensive than a taxi im sure we wont have much money left after the cruise!!!

I have taken the bus there. It is a nice mall. I am not sure it would be worth while to go from Miami that far . . . But the bus is cheap and convenient if you really want to hit the mall.

Also cab fare would be about $50 one way.

Not sure what line you're going on, and maybe someone could shed some more light on this.

I seem to recall on my last cruise, that Royal Caribbean gave the option to passengers to charge their SeaPass account for their bag fees and a luggage valet type service, where they would bring your bags directly to the airport, and you just give RCI your flight information.

I think, but am not sure, that this may have been what I was thinking of on my last cruise. Not sure if it's worth the money to you. It sounds like its $20 per person, plus the bag fees for your airline.

Thank you, 20 dollars would be ok for the peace of mind that the bag was gone directly to the airport. Otherwise we're going to end up dragging it on the bus with us and then having to try and find somewhere in the Mall to take them for a few hours before we head back to the airport.
