Help! traveling with 4 teens - Western Carib. need ideas!

I would like to give my daughter a birthday gift and allow her to chose an excursion for all to do as a family. Been to Dunns river falls, Mr. Sanchos (mexico) and ?? the underwater scooter for snorkling?
Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Thanks...have been on several cruises and usually venture on my own..like in Mexico to Mr. Sanchos Beach...well we are going to Jamaica ( did Dunns River Falls with kids) Grand Cayman (did underwater submarine) and parasailing. Haiti..never been and saw this "cable thing" that looks real cool for the kids? Familiar? Thanks for all your help!!!

The cable thing you're referring to on Haiti may be the zipline. I haven't done this specific zipline, but have done ziplines in the past, and enjoy them. I'll probably try to do it on my upcoming cruise in October.

Do your kids like snorkeling / swimming? If so, then I would recommend a Stingray City excursion in Grand Cayman, or maybe just a day at Seven Mile Beach.

In Cozumel, I have heard good things about Paradise Beach, which is another beach club, but no entry fee, as their impressions are you'll buy drinks / food when you're there, along with other stuff like their water activities.

Whatever you do in Jamaica I would highly recommend sticking with a ship excursion, as I have heard Jamaica is not the greatest of ports. Cruise lines have contracts with reputable tour operators, and you are on an escorted tour.

The only ports I've been to so far are Grand Cayman and Cozumel. It sounds like you're on a similar itinerary as me. I leave October 3 on Freedom of the Seas (Royal Caribbean).

The zip line in Haiti is at Royal Caribbean's private resort of Labadee. So I assume you are going there?

They have two lines. A short one for training and seeing if you like it, then you move to the long run which goes out over the surf at one of the beaches. I think it is one of the longest zip lines in the world (maybe the longest). It is quite popular and sells out fast. They also have physical size requirements.

Wow guys...thanks and yes I am going on the Freedom (Aug 15) right before school starts here again. Saw a video and pics of zipline..looks like so much fun and also some underwater "scooter"...trying to decide between the two...my kids are 14-18 years old....THANKS TO ALL!!! HAPPY SAILING!

Teenagers! Tell them to stay out of trouble in Jamaica, unless they want to live in Jamaica.
We witnessed some teens getting busted for pot a few years ago...needless to say, they did not get on the ship.
The same is true anywhere, but they really give you a good "pat-down" in Jamaics...I like to consider it a free massage
