Cancun Ideas

I will be in Cancun in about 3 weeks aboard the Dream. I have not booked any excursion, but would like some ideas for this port. Help!

You should definitely take a trip to the Mayan ruins; they are unbelievable! We spent a week in Cancun and went to Tulum (Mayan ruins) as well as Isla Majeure (sp?). Great shopping there! If you get a chance to swim with a shark, don't bother - it's a joke. No swimming, the animal is in a cage (and so are you & about 15 other people). Someone holds the shark, you touch it, get your picture taken and you are done.

I too, am on the Dream for the April sailing. I have been having a tough time trying to figure out independant excursions for Cancun. Usually there are a ton of them, and I book my own. Don't really want to pay those high prices through the cruise line.

Hi Torialynn,
We just returned from the Dream tonight. Had a great time. Our Cancun stop was canceled due to rough seas (swells were to high to tender)-everyone was VERY disappointed.
I'll recap our trip in a different post.
