Help! Non cruise tours

Hi-leaving for two weeks on the Jewel. 5th cruise with NCL and second time in Aruba and 3rd time in Tortolla-don't want a tour-looking for hotel (5 star) with great amenities and beach to use for the day. Anyone have any sugestions? Thanks

I was comped for a day pass at the Sonesta Resort now Marriott on Aruba several years ago. I don't know how many stars it has or the current condition, or if they offer day passes. I loved their private beach though and snorkel area. It was so neat. You take a boat from inside the lobby over to their private island. Here is a link. I can't help with Tortola.

Hi abass, one of the best things we did in Tortola was get a cab to take us around. If you don't want to go around the island, have them take you to the beach on the northeast corner of the island. I can't remember the name, but it was near the bar that Jimmy Buffet wrote "Cheeseburger in Paradise". There was a hotel there, but not sure if they had day passes. We had a drink at their bar, it was a beautiful beach, very relaxing.
