Has anyone taken a taxi to Dunns River Falls? and how much is the entrance to the park? We are a big party so trying to save some $$$

Hi, I have not taken a taxi here but Dunns River Falls I think is the best thing to do in Jamaica. You guys will have a great time. Make sure to wear good walking shoes that you can wear in the water. Have fun =)

Pull up any thread on Jamaica in this or any other forum and you will read time and time again to go with a ship's sponsored tour in this country. This is not a place to be on your own. I consider it to be the least safe place I have ever been in my life.

By the way, It is beautiful, I love it there. I just don't get a spirit of adventure there, if you see what I mean.

I agree with spoheat. This is not the place to strike out on your own. Especially for anyone that hasn't been there before. The last time I checked, if I recall, the entrance fee was $15US.

i agree do ship excursion not a place to be off on your own unless you have a guide or someone who lives there or did in the past to act as a guide

I even knew of someone who took a cab in Jamaica and was robbed--and is to this day pretty sure that the cab driver was in on "bringing a victim" to his thieving partner. I stick with a tour!
