I did see a few questions on this but even Celebrity's Excursions where you can book online doesn't tell you if you need to be s swimmer? How deep is the water? I just see a weight limit of 250 lbs what is that for? My husband is not into deep water but was thinking this would be a great opportunity for photo's.
You float on tubes with life vest on (or at least you should have them on.) The weight limit is probably the limit for the biggest tube. The water is not deep, your "guides" walk in the water pushing and steering you the whole time. There may be one spot where the water gets deep enough to be over their heads but most of the time its chest deep or shallower.

Hi I used cavetubing.com and it was cheaper and the tour guides were great! Overall you have to worry about the water getting a little shallow rather than deep. When it did get shallow our guides pulled us down, while the other groups had to get up and walk. I would definitely recommend this excursion, but through this company.
There are many private tour guides that can provide you with this (and other) excursion. You can do a little web search to get their names. Most will give you a better value than the cruise line tours but you can run the risk of getting back to the ship on time (but a small risk).

Another off ship tour company is cave-tubing.com. We used them in December and they were awesome. Highly recommend them. No deposit required and half the cost of going thru the ship. Very personable and hilarious tour guides. I wouldn't worry about the water being too deep as the others have also stated. A nice relaxing excursion to take.
I have been letting the naming of tour guides slide a bit here. We have been dancing a fine line between recommendations and advertising. Since none of the posters appears to work for the mentioned companies, I have let them stay posted.
Yes, the tour company that seems to get the best reviews from the other members here (including myself) is Regie Tours. You can find him on line also and they are very good.

ahhh. info that I was not aware of. And it all makes sense. Guess this would turn into an "advertising board" then huh? I am only recommending them as we had such a great experience w/ them. I definitely don't work for them!! But sure does look like a fun job!!

Exactly. This is why we are always careful to review posts with links to other sites, and we also will do some investigating of new members who show up with links to XYZ tours and fawning praise for them. More often than not, it is spamming by either the owner or someone affiliated with the site trying to get free advertising. With members who have a track record with us, we are more lenient and the assumption is you are just trying to be helpful and offering an honest recommendation.
If we allowed this type of thing to happen, this would soon be a bazaar of promotions and advertising and it would destroy the forum.
