Cozumel

Now I know this is a cruise area...but I have a port question. We just returned from the Elation to Bahamas --great trip, but we want to do a land based all inclusive for our anniversary. (30th!) We are thinking of Cozumel and wondering if anyone has experience being in Cozumel in Sept or October ..a little concerned about the weather/hurricanes. Also has anyone snorkled or been diving since last summer when all the big huricanes went thru--wondering what shape the reefs are in. Thanks everyone.. will give a report from our Elation cruise soon.

Weather in Cozumel in September and October is wonderful. The coral reef is mostly gone. The water is still crystal clear, the fish are beautiful, but there's just very little coral reef.

We were in Cozumel in March 06 but did dive. Since I'd never been to Cozumel before, I can't compare it to pre-Wilma. It was still amazing! Liked it better than Nausau. They frown on feeding the fish in Cozumel but did when we dove in Nasau. Felt like I was swimming through fish waste the whole time.
