Asking too much credit info

My wife and I are departing this Saturday on Coral Princess for Panama. We had booked a few excurions with on site guides in Jamacia and Limon, Costa Rica. All is good with Jamacia, however Costa Rica is another story. We attempted to book the "Crazy Monkey Ride" a zip line tour of the rainforest. We registered on line and recieved an email from the company. When I asked if we were confirmed they stated no. We were asked to fill out a credit card authorization form and told not to forget to include a photocopy of our picture ID and both sides of our credit card.
Whoa, In this era of mass identity theft and credit card fraud, this has light up my warning board. I pass this on as a caution to all.

Whoa is right...I'm sure your are ahead of me on this, but go on to the next company.

One thing I would do if I were you (for the benefit of others) is to respond to their request and tell them what you think. I'd also let them know you were posting this request on several discussion boards.
