Good Beach in Cozumel?

Hey all, I have a buddy taking of on a Cruise this weekend on RCCL. He has done Cozumel before, but has a young kiddo (3+ years)and they were just thinking of hitting a beach. We have never done "just a beach" its always scuba or snorkling or Mayan ruins...

Anyone know where they can go (via taxi) to just relax on a good beach in Cozumel? Maybe something that has beach umbrella's/chairs for rent and beach toys??

Oh come on... NO ONE can recommend a beach in Cozumel??? I find it hard to believe.

We went to Playa Mia last year - it was pretty good. We wanted to go to Chankanuub but it was not open yet when we went -- they were still getting it back together after the Hurricaine.

Paradise Beach would be a great call, especially with a child.

Was just in Cozumel Saturday. Ditto to Tom's suggestion. Paradise Beach.

We really enjoyed Chankanaab Park, but that was pre-hurricane. I don't know it's like now, but they had a few areas for snorkeling as well as just playing in the water areas. There was a restaurant that had pretty good margaritas and a couple of shops. I have heard good reviews from Paradise beach as well, but have not personally been there. Best wishes!

Paradise Beach! That's the one I was trying to remember. I will tell them (They leave Monday)

I agree, had a great time at ChanKananaab, they have little Tiki huts you can lay under on the beach. It is also a state park and has wildlife and has very senic paths to walk and see pools of blue/green water.
