Cozumel and Calica/Playa del Carmen beaches and snorkeling

We are four women (ages 19 to 50) who will be cruising on the Carnival Holiday in May to Cozumel and Calica/Playa del carmen. We are interested in spending a day at the beach relaxing and enjoying the scenery and are also interested in spending some time snorkeling as well as doing some shopping. We are not into the party scene. Any suggestions?

Hi Dexterite, welcome to Cruise-Chat. I would suggest Paradise Beach or Chankanaab Park. Xel-ha is my favorite for snorkeling and water sports, but Paradise and Chankanaab are a little more for relaxing and having a few drinks. I think the snorkeling in Chankanaab is better than Paradise, but there are waiters that will bring you food and drink in Paradise. Best wishes and have a great cruise!
