We have booked with Coral Breeze Tours in Belize on an excursion. I have a couple of fears doing this on our own---firstly--we are to dock at 7:30 and our excursion is 8:30--is anyone familiar with time changes--is the 7L30 Belize time and will I have an hour from tender to excursion time?
Secondly, fearful of missing the boat--ha-- the tour last 4 hours and 45 minutes and the tour company's website assures us not to worry--their business is cruise ships and they pay close to time--
I belive Belize is one hour behind ship (Eastern) time. The problem with an early tour is that preference will be given to those that booked through the ship for the tenders. If you are on your own you may have to wait until everyone with a ship booked excursion has gone. When I was there I think it took about 15 minutes on the tender.
I suppose I am just having trust issues--the website states that they realize the ship allows their booked excursions first and take that into consideration-- just worries you-- I guess being back on time should be easier since we don't leave until 5:00 and I plan to be back on by 4:00!
Thanks Larry for all your help!! I contacted Coral Breeze Tours and they said they would wait on us--we are actually the only on booked on this with them so far--group of 7--I would rather have the worry of running a little late in the morning and them waiting on us than being too late back to dock that I worry about missing ship!!
Most private companies wouldn't stay in business very long if they were prone to missing the ship.....I only book thru the ship, but people who don't seem to be ok with it...but have a great cruise and a grand time.
Thanks Bob! This is our 2nd---but my sister's family's first and I am more excited to introduce them to cruising--except she is in bed sick today and we leave for FL on Friday!
