Ft. Lauderdale

We sail out of Ft Lauderdale on Sat 2/4/06, but we have decided to fly in a day early just in case there is bad winter weather here in the midwest. I was able to change our airline tickets with no problem, but now I need advice on a hotel to stay in, in Ft Lauderdale. Any recommendations? I know beach front, reasonable price along with complimentary transportation from airport and to cruiseport would be asking alot but I can hope!

Hey Tracie,

We are sailing out of Miami on Jan 9th, 2006. We are also looking for a room on the beach the day before, and we are also fromm he Midwest!!(St Louis) We don't get much snow here, but its better to be safe, and fly in a day early. Let me know how you come out. American airlines has some excellent fares to Miami right now. Not sure about Ft.Lauderdale. We are on the Fascination.

HEY GUYS CRUISER1962 MY WIFE AND I JUST GOT BACK FROM THE VALOR CRUISE AND WE STAYED THE NIGHT IN MIAMI PROBABLY TWO MILES FROM THE BEACH AND ABOUT 5 MINUTES FROM THE PEIR. WE STAYED IN THE HYATT AND IT WAS A NICE HOTEL HOWEVER I RECOMMEND NOT EATING THERE BECAUSE IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE. I AM ALSO FROM THE MIDWEST DES MOINES, IA AND FOUND IT BETTER TO FLY IN THE NIGHT BEFORE BECAUSE YOUR BETTER RESTED THE DAY OF THE CRUISE GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!

Tracie, We are flying out tomorrow into Ft Lauderdale and taking the Tri County Airport Express right to our hotel for a Sat stay over and then on to the **** Sunday morning. We are staying at the Days Inn (Civic Center) and has a free shuttle to the port and it cost $62.00 a night goverment rate. Looks like a nice hotel with plenty to do for the day before. Good Luck...
