Your PVP doesn't bother you because you always seem to have two or three cruises booked!

There may be some hope. It's been more than two weeks since I ordered my brochure online, and no one has called me.

We received our PVP after arriving home from the Holiday in 2007, She has been very accomodating for us, has kept us informed of the military specials and she did the booking for us on the fantasy in 2008 and the holiday last week, but has never been overbearing, we have been very pleased with her.

I ordered mine and got a phone call today! I too have used a travel agent but from the good news I hear on here, I may just use a PVP from Carnival.

I am curious, how did you book that first cruise? With a Travel Agent, or direct with the cruise line?

Lisa, that is good to hear. I was starting to think I may have prompted all this by posting about the new brochures. Just in case though, I removed the link from my post.

It seems there is no specific reason for why they call. All I know is they don't call me.

The person booking used vacations to go, but the next year while they were looking there, I was using my PVP, she beat them with the price, this year while trying to book 5 cabins I looked at both, again my PVP, was able to get a better price for me and we each received an onboard credit, not much, but we appreciated the surprise.

A Travel Agent should be getting the same rates as a PVP. A Travel Agent can also get the Military rates. If you are getting a lower rate from a PVP, you owe it to the Travel Agent to let them know the PVP is undercutting them, and give the TA the opportunity to find out why they aren't being given the same rates.
