Two questions - 1) Can you order extra copies of the photographs the ship's photographer takes? and 2) Can you get your digital photographs developed on board? Just want to know if I should buy a larger memory stick. Thanks.

Get the larger memory stick anyways, just to be safe. The cruise photo's can get rather expensive. My experience has been that they sometimes frame up the photo's with ship information or port itineraries, which is always nice. These are borders that they add to the picture. You buy these at regular price and then you can buy the pic without the border for just a few dollars more. It's easy to spend $100 or more on pictures without trying, so a memory stick is a cheaper investment by far. Then, you can take as many photos as you want.

The ship's photo gallery will be happy to print extra pictures for you...in any size. i find Carnival's photo gallery to be the most reasonably priced on the high seas. They will be happy to develop ANY pictures, digital or film. Adn CarlaG, they will do it for free if you buy the film from them, UNLIKE NCL!!

$100.00? I'm lucky if I leave spending $300.00 or less. Also I have 100 or more photos, like the above, on my digital. I don't drink, or gamble so that is my treat. I agree with carig, however, that you have to have just one or two of the special ones that the photographers take on board with the boarders, especially the formal night as they are very professionally done. You can always scan your favorites and print them out, not as good as the original but still nice to give to family.

baby doll. I can't imagine how much it would be if you bought every pic they take of you. We never found all of what was taken. We typically buy the nice formal portraits, have them in the jackets you can buy with the ship photo facing the opposite side, maybe buy some port photo's or dinner ones and do like you said, give some to the relatives. Other than that....lots of digital pics taken. Cruises are pretty much the only time we get formal pics taken...

Thanks for the heads up PA Steve. I didn't know that if you bought a digital stick on board, that they will develop it for free. Good information for you I love cruising!

If you remember your backgrounds when your picture was taken then on the last day the photo shop will have a box with everything in order, that wasn't purchased, that you can go through and pick up what you missed. They have so many if you figure over 2,000 people and different photo layouts every night and when you get off ship that they have to take them down after a day for new ones. I don't buy them all, but trust me I should have stock in the Co I buy so many.
