Xcaret-cozumel

Has anyone tried this excursion? Is it better to book through Carnival?

We've booked our other two exucrsions thorugh Carnival but haven't booked anything yet for Cozumel. My husband doesn't swim and so I would like a zoo or an aquarium or something like that for us to tour.

Xcaret is on the mainland. You will have to take a ferry to Playa del Carmen, and then get on a bus. There are much better things to do on Cozumel. Take the fury catamaran snorkel cruise, or the fiesta party boat cruise. You will have a ball

That is a good point. To me, Xcaret would only be a reasonable tour if my ship was docked at Calica so I could get to Xcaret in a few minutes. It is really not worthwhile if your ship is in Cozumel.

Hi Dave,
We will be docked at Calica and are planning to go to Xcaret. We will only be in port from 9:00am to 5:00pm, so I was thinking this would be the best way to spend the day. Thanks for confirming my decision.

Xcaret is literally next door to the pier in Calica, so the bus only takes a few minutes to get there. And you can come and go all day as they have buses running back and forth from the ship to Xcaret every half hour. Your pass will allow you to enter and leave the park at will.
