Laundry Services?

Can anyone tell me how the laundry service is on Carnival? I've got a cruise coming up and want to pack lighter than normal to cut down on number of bags.

Has anyone had any issues with clothes coming back damaged? How much does it cost?

I used the wash and fold service for a few items this last cruise without any problems. They include it as a perk for platinum guests, so I thought I would give it a try for some clothes I had snorkeled in.

Here is a price list.

It looks a bit pricey to me. There is always the self serve launderette too.

Thanks IslandCruz! I'm only two cruises away from Platinum status so I'll have to pay for any wash and fold services. I was just concerned that my clothes would come back looking worn as I assume they use heavy duty commercial washing machines and dryers. I guess the self service is always an option but who wants to do laundry on vacation.

Carnival also has self service laundry facilities onboard...if you want to do them yourself. As best as I can remember it is $2 per wash and $2 to dry.

I use the free Platinum wash and fold at least twice on every cruise. I only send underwear, socks, jeans, the boy's shorts and tshirts that I don't care if they get faded on.

We have never had a problem....I just don't send my good stuff.

Also...I send lights on one day and darks on another...because they do put all your clothes from that cabin in a mesh laundry bag.

I believe you get the benefits on your 10th cruise with Carnival, meaning as you commence your 10th cruise.

Well actually you'd be surprised how many people use the self service laundry on a cruise.
I passed the self service laundry room every day two or three times a day....the door was usually open and it was always busy.I also passed by one on another floor, peeped inout of curiousity and that was also being used.
Although I did not need to use one it is obviously something many carnival cruisers appreciate and find useful.
