Celebration - Dec 30, 2006

Is anyone else going on the Celebration Dec 30, 2006 to celebrate New Year's?

Can anyone share their experiences with me if you have sailed on the Celebration? It is an older ship. Was it updated? If so, are there hairdryers in the cabins?

Here is a recent review from someone who was just onboard.

Sadly, they did not mention any hairdryers...so I am not sure about that.

Thanks! It's nice to know it was hassle free getting on board because I'm traveling with my mom who is physically challeged.

I guess I'll have to bring my hairdryer It's just one more thing to pack.

Sad to say you WILL need to bring a hairdryer. While many of Carnival ships do have hair dryers in the stateroom, the Celebration is NOT one of them. Nonetheless, I am sure your cruise will be great!

This is your first cruise, congratulations! Here is some dining advice, you can order as much as you want. Don't be shy. For example, formal night, you don't know if you want the lobster or prime rib, order both. When ordering do it all at once so the waiter doesn't have to go back and forth to the kitchen. Usually on the first run they get the best. If they have to make a second trip, you may not get the best cut of prime rib, etc. If you can't decide which dessert you like order all and take a bite of each

The pizzeria is open 24/7. They also have salad, garlic bread and calzone. Special orders only take 7 minutes.

A couple more tips. If you are like me and MUST have coffee the second I wake up...there will be door hangers in your room that you can fill out...hang on the door the night before and like magic...your coffee ~~and other requested items ~~ will appear magically at the time you requested. I always lay out my tip money on the dresser the night before because they are also my wake up call...and I am "prepared".
