My husband I are looking at going on Carnival Freedom in October 2009. This will be cruise #2 for me and #1 for my husband. It is for his 50th bday and our anniversary. Want some input please.

What kind of info? That is a really open ended question.

Good food? Nice atmosphere? Things like that. This cruise is to San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau. Have you been to any of these places?

What cruise line/ship/itinerary did you do for your first cruise?

First one was on Royal Caribbean.

We just sailed on the Freedom in November (8 day down to Panama)

We had a blast. The food and service were fine.

I am not a big fan of larger ships....the Spirit class is my favorite class....but I also love the Splendor.

The Dream is going to be similar to the Splendor so it is another choice you might consider.

We're looking at taking the Freedom in the Fall as well - haven't been on it but have heard good things - only complaint was with almost 4000 people on board there can be some waiting and crowded feeling. We were parked right next to her in Cozumel a week ago and everything looked awesome.

We were on the freedom a year ago November from Rome to Florida. 4 ports then 8 days at sea. It was fine. We like all the Carnival ships. Must like Spirit because we have been on it 5 times. Liked Paradise (3) when it was non smoking. We have been on 22 Carnival cruises.

I cruised the Freedom and loved it, think it was her 1st sailing from the States. I think most cruises are busy during feeding hour. Best way to avoid line-ups is to go to the restaurant for lunch & breakfast and order off the menu. I was on the Destiny (out of Miami)in Nov for the 5 day and I don't think I have ever seen line-ups quite like it. Those people were definitely there to eat!!!
