Van Beach, if you've not been sick on a fishing boat, I think you'll have absolutely nothing to fear on a huge ship. Normally, you'll barely feel movement even in 6-8' seas. When it gets up to 10-14', you might feel a little rocking. They have stabizers on almost all ships now, and it really is amazingly smooth.

Van Beach - if your fine in a fishing boat then even in the rough seas you won't have a problem. Don't worry about it. Take some meds with you so you have them just in case but from my experiences if you are fine in a small boat the ship will feel very stable to you.

thanks everyone - I am calming down now. I love to lay in the front of my husband's fishing boat and watch the sky as the waves gently (or not so gently sometimes) rock me to sleep. So I think you are all right, I should not have too much problem. Probably have more problems with a hangover since we have not been on a vacation for quite awhile and the thought of drinks and sunshine is sounding very very good - especially since we just had 6 inches of snow and it is only 35 degrees outside today. thanks again!

To add to my last post, some people were joking about the rocking on the last cruise I went on, stating that "everyone's walking around drunk" since the rocking was bad enough that you couldn't walk straight!

Van Beach I've been on many cruises. I use Bonine - doesn't make you feel dopey. I have only used it a few times if the ship is really rocking. I need it on the airplane always.
