Deep Sea Fishing excursion in St. Maarteen

Has any one done the Deep Sea Fishing excursion in St. Maarteen? How much does it cost? What do I need to take with me? Anything in particular I should know?

We're considering the same tour when we are in St. Maarten later this month. (Well, my husband is considering it -- I'm going to shop.) Through Celebrity, the cost is $199 per person, and I can't imagine the price would be much different through Carnival. Another option we're considering is the Bubba Bottom Fishing and Scenic Cruise tour, $89 per person. There are also private operators, yet I did not look into those. Others on this board may be of help in that regard.

When are you going? I'll be happy to report back at the end of this month.

Here's an alternative, charter a trip on your own. About 1/2 the price as through the ship. We are going to try it in March.

I just returned on 2/11 from sailing on the Glory. My husband & son chartered a boat from Taylor Made in St. Maarten. $500. 1/2 day. Included bait, equip & snacks. Doug picked them up(in his boat) right near the ships pier @ Chesterfields Marina.
Some others in our travel group booked through Rudy's and had to drive a bit to get to their boat. Would reccomend Taylor Made to anyone ineterested in this type of trip they were polite & friendly.

Thanks for the tip, we booked with Rudy so I think we will stay with him. Price was $625., party of four for 3/4 day (6hours). Question is did you catch any fish? Thanks
