I have read that one should not get a room above the bars due to the late night "noise". My room just so happens to be on Deck 6, should I be worried??? HELP ANYONE
Depends... we need a little more info, what Ship? what cabin #? If you are directly above (or below I would think) a music bar (piano bar, dance club etc) you are probably going to get some noise from that. I have not personally stay in such a cabin, but I do know that on our Conquest cruise, security came into the piano bar a couple of times and said they were getting complaints from the cabins aobve us on the noise. (yes we were that loud and no, we didn't really quite down (if anything it made us sing louder)
Give us more details and lets see what your situation is..

And after seeing your other post on the "Things I learned" thread. It is probably too late to change your cabin. You can TRY (never hurts to try) but I wouldn't count on it. If we do discover you are above a noise maker, then you might be better off paying for an upgrade if they can't get you away from the noise on the same category.

I don't think they have a deck 6. They have a Category of price 6 which refers to outside cabins. It could be anywhere from Riviera to Empress Decks. I am a late night person on my cruise, so I have never noticed any noise. You will be so worn out by trying to do everything you will have no issue. If anything, I will be the guy next door on the same deck ordering room service at 3am
with the late shows and late buffets and such by the time I made it back to the room I easily went to sleep. Also, I believe it is because of the slight movement of the ship or whatever, I slept better than ever on my cruise. After talking to other people that went on cruises they felt the same way. You would think that with all the activity you would never feel rested but I think the opposite is true
Above the cabaret should not be a problem. You'll most likely be out of the cabin when any loud activity would be happening in there. You should be ok.
