There should be beach towels assigned to you in your cabin when you arrive, but be aware if you don't return them, they will chage you for them. Most cruise lines are really tightening down their towel policy.
If you are prone to motion sickness, see your doctor now and have him prescribe ear patches for you. This will completely eliminate sea sickness during your cruise. However, most ships are so stabilized that it is a rare occurance at this point.
we picked up towels in town that were realy inexpensive or pack a beach towel, they charge you 20.00 to 25.00 if you don"t return thier towels they also charge for water when you leave the ship so maybe pick up a couple of bottles to go on board and everytime you stop in port you may carry it on and off without any problem a litre of water is 2.50 and sometimes more depending on ship you are on,
You can bring a small water bottle with you when you first board (I know, as I have done it.) Then you can just refill it with tap water from the ship. Their water is good, and of course, it's already paid for!
Seasickness: As was mentioned by Tom, the new ships are designed with such stability you will probably not need to worry much about feeling any motion. However, if it is of concern (and you would prefer not to go the prescription route) I have 2 alternative suggestions that have been proven successful: 1) Sea-bands which can be purchased at any travel store and many drugstores are great. When ever you feel the slightest bit of movement or queasy in the least - slip them on. They are recommended for cancer patients to ease the nausea from chemo-therapy and seem to work quite well. 2) Ginger pills which can be purchased at any health store or drugstore. Start taking them a day or 2 before the cruise and then continue taking them while on the cruise before meals. Since they are harmless, even if you don't need them -no harm done.
