Carnival arranging flights to and from Rome

We have booked on the Freedom next year and are having Carnival handle the air/transports. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with Carnival doing that? I was thinking it would just be easier and the fare were cheaper than what I was able to find.

We are on the Carnival Liberty 7/30 with air through Carnival. It worked out just fine and was less expensive than what I could find.
We fly Memphis to Chicago and Chicago to Rome.
