[first-time cruiser]

I'm a first time cruiser and very worried about the bad reviews I've read about the Destiny. Scheduled for a Southern Carribean cruise for Christmas and thinking about canceling. Traveling with my husband and 20 year old son. HELP?

Okay- I just clicked on six random Destiny reviews and only one was "bad"- and even that one wasn't too bad. I can't speak for the Destiny, but I just sailed Elation after nervously reading bad review after bad review (funny how the good ones never stick in your head). It was great fun. Older ship? Yes. Gaudy and over the top? Yes. Everything else? Priceless.

My recommendation would be to go on your trip, overlook the small stuff, and come back and tell us what fun you had. I had the time of my life.

My friend took this same cruise last year and said she had a ball. She said there was a lot more to do than Royal Caribbean (which I was trying to decide between) and that the food was good and lots of fun. I'm going on the cruise in February 2006 for my honeymoon. Let me know how it turns out!
