I've sailed Carnival 5 times and here's my input...If you can walk and talk, you can get a drink on Carnival...no if's, and's, or but's...last year we had a pack of 14 and 15 year olds buying drinks day and night. They also ran the halls day and night, knocking on doors at 3-4am and vandalizing. I will chose the next Carnival cruise more careful.... For the most part they have turned into the trailer park cruise line.
nothing like seeing 16 year old girls going topless and seeing thier dads cheer them on
I went on a cruise when I was 19 with my boyfriend and as soon as we got on the boat, the waiters were asking us if we wanted a drink, I was nervous so I told him that I was only 19 (I thought we actually had to be at sea for the drinking age to change to 18) and he winked at me and said it was fine.. so I got a drink. They just want your money.. law? psh, no worries to them
markpeters,
there is a sign at the disco saying 18 or over and I saw security check ID's for that. I didn't see any underage drinking going on. But I also went to bed earlier than some of those kids I am sure. Parents can check on their TV for their children's spending habits on board. I know my 13 year old had an arcade habit last year, and my 17 year old ordered virgin frozen drinks (there is a price difference).
