i am looking at the carnival inspiration on june 4th, but want a bigger and better ship...
i want a 4 day or a 5 day cruise near tampa in the first week in june...

can anyone help???

The Carnival Legend sails from Tampa on June 3. That is pretty much it as far as your options, unless you go to the east coast ports.

I read an interesting article in Cruise Travel magazine (I don't remember the date - Nov or Dec 2006) and the limiting factor for Tampa is a bridge that all cruise ships must sail under, that limits Carnival to the Holiday/Fantasy/Spirit Class - the Destiny and Conquest class are too big to fit under the bridge.

Dave, Hope all is going well and you had a great Holiday. No pun, but I see you booked another cruise and on the Holiday You and your family I am sure could use it.

She was showing her age in 2001, but I enjoyed that cruise more than the Destiny. Not to be off topic, but the point being newer does not always equal better.

Bigger does not always equal better either. I have been trying to tell my wife that. She always agreed untill we got a new pool boy for some reason. I think his cousin works for RCL and he has been filling her full of bologna!

I have had as much fun and more on the smaller ships.
