My husband and I are sailing on Fantasy for 6 nights in January. This will be our first cruise with Carnival. We are partial to Royal Caribbean, but we are excited about being able to sail out of Charleston instead of driving to Florida. How many formal nights will there be on the 6 night cruise?

There will be two. I recently did a six night cruise out of Charleston on the Fantasy. I was very impressed with the ship and crew. It was such an easy and quick drive from the Grand Strand. Now, the parking is a little screwy at the present time, a new port facility is on the way. You'll need to follow the signs they have up for parking. They'll lead through multiple Security Check Points for luggage drop off (have Boarding Pass, Passport, and ID ready). Then you will be directed to park in a warehouse. From there you must take the shuttle they provide to the terminal entrance. Don't try to walk as you will be turned back at the pier.

Hope this helps and you have as much fun as I did on the rejuvenated Carnival Fantasy!

BTW, the Giant can of Whiskas cat food is back in the Cats Lounge.

Thank you for all the information! We will be driving from Columbia, and the traffic in Charleston is always a bit confusing. I hate one way streets, but I love the scenery!

You are most welcome!

Carnival decided to change their site again last night. For driving directions click HERE and then Port of Charleston.
