We take crystal light packets and they work real well with tequilla for margarita's and also take the chlorine taste out of the water. Right now have 32 packets in my checked bags. Each makes a quart so probably will survive with 32 quarts. Also they are not liquid that could spill into clothing during travel.

How much are the sodas if you buy them from CCL ships? Are they normal size or very tiny?

cans of soda were $1.50 reg coke cans

you have fruit punch, Ice tea, lemonade, water, tea, coffee, milk and juices available at the buffets most the day and night NO CHARGE I did not even drink soda while on board only when we were in ports

Our porter told us that if we wanted to get alcohol on the boat, he could get the bags through customs and onto the boat with no problem. We jumped in the car and headed to the nearest liquor store and bought 2 cases of beer and a large bottle of rum. We stuffed the cans of beer in our 4 pcs of luggage - slipped the guy a $20 tip and hoped for the best. Sure enough, when our luggage arrived in our 2 rooms - ALL the alcohol was still there. We estimate we saved $500 by doing this.

I went on the Carnival Spirit on May 2 - 14 I put two 12 packs in my carry on and huge 2 gallon bottles of water; (it was heavy)and how they scan your luggage and hand check it and NO ONE said anything

we took bottles on board in our luggage had no problem we did not carry it on it went with all the checkin luggage they don"t have time to open all luggage over 3500 pieces of luggage is handled and the same coming off the ship from the debarking the same day over 3500 that over 7000 pieces of luggage they would have to search take your own on board and enjoy you will wind up buying in the clubs no doubt but you will have that extra $$$ to spend on other things on board and on shore
