We are getting married on August 6, 2005, but are taking our cruise on the 28th. I am thinking that we should wait to have my fiance's drivers license changed until after the cruise, as we booked it using her maiden name, or would Carnival accept her new drivers license with a marriage license? Thanks!

Call Carnival and ask them. I am sure that this is a common situation. Be sure to get the persons name, time and date for back up. I would also look into a passport and their regulations about this.

You'll have a great time on your honeymoon! My husband & I took a cruise for ours 2 years ago! We married on Aug. 3 & left on the 12th, and I travelled with my maiden name. It made things that much easier. But it looks like you have more time in between your wedding & honeymoon, so they may just let her use the marriage license & new drivers license. You have some time... I'd talk to Carnival or your travel agent. I'm sure this is something that comes up quite a bit.

I agree that you should check with Carnival or your TA, but my feeling is that her ID should match the name that she used when booking the cruise. There might be too much confusion otherwise, especially in these days of extra security precautions.
